The seminar shows the results from a report funded by MISTRA benchmarking Nordic companies against the current average CO2 and capital efficiency. It also targets future efficiencies that need to be achieved by these companies if we are to meet environmental and economic goals in the future.

The Nordic countries have very ambitious goals in terms of CO2-reduction, making companies face the challenge of reducing their Carbon Footprint. Those goals also include creating job opportunities, pay taxes and make a profit. This cannot be done without companies being CO2-efficient.

The Report estimates the so called Sustainable Value - a concept that assesses the use of environmental, social and economic resources in the same way that investors assess the use of economic capital - of Nordic companies focusing on their contributions to climate change.

Frank Figge, Professor in Sustainable Development and CSR at Euromed Marseille, and Ralf Barkemeyer, Lecturer in Corporate Social Responsibility at the University of Leeds, present results from the Sustainable Value Research Group’s report on the Sustainable Value of Nordic companies that is funded by MISTRA.
