12 August 2009 Launching the handbook on Restauration of Freshwater pearl Mussel Streams
The LIFE-project has developed and published a handbook on restoration of Freshwater Pearl Mussel streams. Results and experiences from the project and other European projects are presented in the handbook. The handbook is published in English and in Swedish.
12-14 August 2009 Final Conference
WWF Sweden's LIFE-project together with The county administrative board of Västernorrland organised an international conference on aquatic conservation with focus on the Freshwater Pearl Mussel. Around 90 participants from 14 differnt countries took part in the conference. During the conference scientific data was presented and results and knowledge from the LIFE-project and other projects were presented.
The conference was an important platform for networking concerning aquatic conservation.
Knowledge exchange
The Project has been visiting several other LIFE-projects in Europe. All the visited projects have been working on aquatic conservation with focus on the Freshwater Pearl Mussel.

12-13 May 2009
Project meeting in Ljungkile. Preparations for the final report, summary of all actions completed (all C-actions are completed). Focus on the excursion was the impact on streams from forestry. We visited Bratteforsån and Sollumsån and discussed the actions made to improve the riparian zones.

Conferense on Protecting Europe’s Nature: Learning from LIFE. The conferense was organised by the EU-Commission in Brussels.

Project meeting in Fågelfors, Småland. Technical projectreporting, discussions and field excursion.

10-11 May 2007
Platform meeting in Östergötland with all Swedish and Danish LIFE-nature projects. The purpose was to exchange knowledge between the different LIFE projects. Members from the EU commission took part in the meeting and presented the financial part of reporting.
8-9 May 2007
Projectmeeting and site visit. 6 people från Eu-commission joined a fieldtrip to stream Bratteforsån and Sollumsån.

Natura 2000 meeting at SEPA together with County Administrative Boards, Ministry of environment, NGOs and others. Discussions and information about different possibilities of EU funding of Natura 2000 objects.
7-8 juni 2006
Project meeting (all project participants) in Örebro. Day one: project reporting information (both financial and technical) and information from every partner about the completed actions. Day two: field trip to one object with different actions carried out.

Workshop in Gothenburg Natural History Museum about fresh water mussels.
30 November -1 December 2005
Conference in Jönköping, arranged by the County Administrative board Jönköping and "The Swedish society for limnology". The purpose was do discuss streams- impacts, actions and restoration.
The LIFE-project was presented by a poster and information material.
16-18 November 2005
Workshop on Freshwater Pearl Mussel in Sweden. The workshop was held in Karlstad, Sweden, and was arranged by Karlstad Univeristy and County Administrative Board Norrbotten. The purpose was to exchange experiences and collect the knowledge about the Pearl Mussel and it´s habitat. The LIFE-project was presented during the workshop.
15-16 November 2005
Workshop on Perl Mussel conservation and stream restoration in Germany, Bad Elster. The workshop was arranged by the LIFE Nature-project LIFE2002NAT/D/8458. The Swedish LIFE-project was represented and habitat restoration experiences were exchanged.

Information signs have been produced and will be distributed and set up at each project site in november.
12-13 September 2005
Platform meeting with Swedish and Danish LIFE Nature projects. The meeting took place in Denmark, Mols Bjerge. The purpose was to exchange knowledge between the different LIFE projects. Members from the EU commission took part in the meeting and presented the financial part of reporting. We also discussed ways of communicating a LIFE project
29 August 2005
The new monitoring team, ASTRALE, visited the project. The meeting took place in the south western part of Sweden (Västra Götaland). The team visited two of the project sites. There was also good media response from newspapers and TV during the visit.
June 2005
Folder and Brouchure (action E4) has been produced and distributed to partners and other interested organizations.
26 January 2005
Start up meeting in Stockholm with WWF and parners. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the project together with an introduction to the financial reporting. We also discussed communication and information material.
