Guidelines for handling personal integrity according to GDPR


Världsnaturfonden WWF “WWF Sweden”, safeguards your personal privacy and wants you as a supporter and stakeholder to always feel safe when submitting your personal information to WWF Sweden. We are open with what data we collect and why. This privacy policy explains how WWF Sweden collects and uses your personal information. It also describes your rights and how you can assert your rights. All processing of personal data within WWF Sweden takes place in accordance with applicable personal data legislation. Within the EU / EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies from 25 May 2018.

WWF Sweden registers the personal data to be able to communicate with you in a smooth way through various channels and to be able to maintain a good and close relationship. WWF Sweden processes personal data mainly for the purposes set out below and for any additional purposes set out at the time of collection:

  • To inform about our work via various channels such as email sending
  • To meet legal requirements regarding storage of contracts
  • For system administration and to be able to maintain good register maintenance
  • To produce statistical data – this is done on an aggregate level without identifying individuals
  • To deliver, develop and improve our communication and your user experience on platforms offered by us through analysis of your user behavior in our digital channels – for example website, newsletter, social media
  • To send important information, such as changes in our terms and policies
  • To note interest and commitment in our initiatives and networks and to convey information about the development of the initiative

Who can we share your information with?

We may share information with other companies that process data on behalf of WWF Sweden. This is so that we can perform our services, such as analysis, distribution or other services as maintainers and apply our terms of use and delivery terms. However, high security and confidentiality are always observed in all handling of personal data. Examples of external parties to whom we share information are printing companies and agencies. WWF Sweden undertakes to have valid data processing agreements with all suppliers who process personal data on behalf of WWF Sweden.
Personal information may also be disclosed if it is necessary to:

  • safeguard the legal interests of the WWF Sweden.
